All her life, Janie Baylis has had a drive to epitomize all that a good realtor should be: caring, dedicated, hard-working and innovative, yet professional and down to earth. As an accomplished salesperson and youth minister in past careers, whenever Janie Baylis found something good, she was always passionate about telling everyone she knew about that good thing. She did this through her genuine love of people, her strong work ethic, and her values instilled from her walk with God. Striving to treat every person she met as she wanted to be treated, and not just as a person to be sold to, Janie achieved many milestones in her sales career and stayed at the top of her field, earning her many awards and even trips. Now, she puts that same tenacity to work for her clients when she helps them buy or sell a home.
Told by friends and family all her life that she would be a great real estate agent, Janie finally decided to make the jump in late 2014 and got her real estate license in February of 2015. In her first year alone, she had 18 sales and finished her first year with over $3,000,000 in sales and a ranking of #41 in total sales transactions and #56 in total volume out of 778 realtors in the Montgomery area (and that was not a complete calendar year!). The reason for this is simple: she really cares! After just talking with Janie for a minute or two, clients have often told her that they immediately could sense her sincere eagerness to help them not only buy a home but to understand the whole process and not feel overwhelmed in their home selling and buying experiences.
Janie is married to Robert Baylis and has two teenagers. In her free time, she loves photography, cooking, traveling, reading, and doing things with her local church. A graduate of William Carey College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, she received a BA in Communications and an MA in Christian Education.
